ABOUT US
The Dental Practice Financial Calculator was designed with the understanding that dentists are trained in medical science, not business management.
The software was developed from scratch over a two-year period through careful collaboration with and drawing on the experiences and expertise of Dr. Joseph Pesicek after he acquired his dental practice in 2004. He spent $20,000 with a consulting company to determine the fair market value of the practice he acquired - but needed more information than consultants could provide. Many factors, skill sets, and other issues were considered in the design and development of this software, including:
The goal was to develop a dental practice management tool that is easy to learn and use. Most dental schools only offer limited courses in finance and management in their dentistry curricula. When you're in practice, you may consult with great accountants and financial advisors, but those experts aren't always available to help with key practice decisions. Likewise, while there are plenty of software programs to help automate bookkeeping, set appointments, and store images, none of those programs teach you to become better, more successful business owners.
